The Oaks Communities
The goal of The Oaks is to provide a community both residential living combined with a wellness and veteran research facility serving today's growing veteran population.
The Oaks Living and Wellness Research Community Development will provide ongoing assistance to our veterans' community through resident participation in research programs and ongoing data gathering. A growing veteran population will require intense studying to enable a better quality of life.

Assisted Living Facility / 128 1-2 Bedroom Units
Although many Assisted Living communities cater to individuals with the aging population, The Oaks will cater specifically to the veterans growing population with a trend towards facilities that provide specialized care and housing tailored to the special needs of individuals. These facilities offer care that fosters residents' individual skills and interests in an environment that helps to diminish confusion and agitation. Specialty services are provided in a secure environment, such as activity programs designed to include reality orientation classes and specially trained professional staff skilled in handling the behavior associated with impairments. Our facilities will specialize in Post Traumatic Disability disorders and have building design features that assist with the problems associated with this disease.
Semi-Assisted Care Facility / 96 1-2 Bedroom Units
Similar to Assisted Living communities, most provide assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing, and other daily activities. Assistance with medications differs according to state regulations. Meals, laundry and housekeeping are usually provided within private and semi-private rooms in a residential type setting.
Active Veterans Living Facility / 144 1-2 Bedroom Units
At The Oaks , we want residents to enjoy an experience that is as unique as they are. That is why we have developed programs that are found only at The Oaks Living and Wellness Research Community and we will continue to enhance these programs to create the opportunity for a fulfilling lifestyle for our residents. Through our signature programs, we provide more than basic services and amenities. We invest time and energy into making every aspect of life at The Oaks into something special that cannot be found anywhere else. Independent living facilities for veterans' families and for veterans with disabilities.
Community residents through the guidance of TVRC can begin a small business. The community will have six multi-office structures designed to look like part of the residential units. Each complex will have three to four office/retail/food units. The units will sit in among a central landscaped courtyard.
As part of our commitment to improve the health status of our community, The Oaks Living and Wellness Community Development is built around a "medical model." We stress the overall improvement of health and the management of chronic health conditions, with services such as cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, warm water therapy and nutrition counseling. The center offers a multitude of classes focusing on stress management, weight loss, strength building, and overall health and wellness.
